About the organisation

We are a charity and provide free, independent, impartial and confidential advice to the general public. We provide advice on most topics and specialise in Housing, Employment, Benefits/Welfare, Money/Debt, Immigration, Consumer and Health.

How to Apply

About the vacancy

To provide a welcoming first point of contact for clients at reception in the bureau as well as on the phone. Time commitment is one half shift per week Monday-Friday 9am -1pm/1pm-5pm.

Key Responsibilities

Identifying the initial issue from the client, summarising their query and details onto our data base accurately and thoroughly. Empowering client to self-help and assisting with with practical, non-advice tasks. Facilitating the client to receive advice from our bureau.

Key Competencies

Good people skills and time management when working in busy environment. Non-judgmental approach, willingness to help each client. 

Ability to summarise and record accurately onto our data base. Working as part of a team but also independently. Use of IT equipment.

Desired Qualifications

Full training will be given on our systems and tasks. We encourage you to apply even if you have no experience.
